All Are Welcome
Our Mission

Rooted in prayer, shaped by service, and committed to belonging.

We are called to worship God faithfully, to share the love of Christ in practical ways, and to nurture a parish life where every generation can grow in grace. At St John's, community is not an idea set apart from worship. It is the visible shape of our life together: gathering in prayer, caring for one another, and serving Dartmouth with humility, kindness, and hope.

Our Vision

A church small in spirit only in humility, never in welcome.

We envision St John's as a vibrant parish where worship remains reverent, children and elders are equally at home, and our building continues to serve as a spiritual anchor for Westphal and the wider Dartmouth area. Over the years ahead, we want to deepen discipleship, strengthen pastoral care, and create more consistent pathways for neighbours to connect through worship, outreach, study, and shared meals.

What that looks like

  • Warm first visits and clear invitations into parish life.
  • Visible service to the local community beyond Sunday morning.
  • Faith formation that remains thoughtful, grounded, and welcoming.
